She's off to the farm!

My wonderful husband, Justin, thought I should begin a blog since, after all, I always have so much to say. He also thought it would be good to have a blog so family and friends could keep up with how Jacob is growing. I think he may be on to something.



Well, for those of you who do not know, I love dogs. Pumpkin became my dog five years ago. Today she is at my parent's house in the country. We left her with my parents at Thanksgiving. She lived on the "farm" for 3 years before I married my husband and brought her to our home inside of town...and inside of a fenced yard. I called my parents today and they said she is having fun. They also said she is slimming down...which is the reason we left her there. Since we moved to the Big City a year ago, Pumpkin kind of got use to the apartment life. Once we moved into our new home just outside of the Big City, she wanted to remain a house-apartment dog. Just after the baby was born, she would hide all over the house just so she could stay inside. It was kind of funny when she would run from flies...but that is another story for another time.

Oh, did I mention we have three other dogs? Right before Justin and I married 2 years ago, he spoke up and said he would take a border collie-blue heeler puppy from someone I knew. I think it was just trying to impress me or just be nice...I don't think he really had plans to take the dog. Well, we have sweet Mollie.




And, a year ago (at Thanksgiving) she had a fling with Pumpkin's unfixed brother, Bryant, who belongs to my parents. (You must be thinking we are bad dog owners-but I had an appointment to have Mollie fixed-but the morning sickness and the moving & packing got the best of me....big mistake). So, you guessed it, we had puppies 2 months later...in our apartment...while I was pregnant. Gee, that sounds like fun. Mollie had 6 fuzzy pups...and we ended up keeping 2 of them (we could not find a home for Sammie....and then I got attached). Did I say that I was pregnant and taking care of 6 poopy puppies in an apartment for 2 months?



That's the story. We have 4 happy and healthy pups in our home.

Mollie and her two darlings, Daisy and Sammie, are so well behaved with Pumpkin at the Farm.

I miss you Punky, but life is so calm with out my sweet Pumpkin. Hope you have lots of doggie fun at Grandma & Grandpa's!!! We will see you at Christmas.
