Daisy Dog...Daisy Dog...Daisy-Daisy-Daisy-Daisy...Daisy Dog!
That is Daisy's song. I seem to make up a song for each dog using their name. When Daisy hears her song, she gets excited! She wags her long, thin tail faster than I can blink. Daisy is a pretty special pup. Justin picked her out of the six puppies Mollie gave life last January. I believe it was Justin's first time to pick out his very own dog. He is trying to teach her obedience skills in order to begin her on birds. She is very interested in dove and quail. Daisy actually prefers seeking birds than any other activity. Today Daisy is at the vet. Having a dog spayed in DFW is expensive. One vet clinic was $300 plus. "We give them warm food afterward," is what I was told. Warm dog food must be pretty expensive, huh? Anyway, we found a vet, with three Aggie vets on staff, that is 35 minutes from our house and 1/3 the cost. Jacob and I drove Daisy there this morning. I don't think Daisy was very happy to be there. She began thrashing as they lead her away. I wonder if the other dogs, cats, horses, cows, whatever else is treated there, tell the incoming dog about how they are kenneled and put away. Maybe she can hear fear or sadness. Who knows. We will be back tomorrow to pick her up. I am sure that Justin will love on her and make her feel all better. He has a way of doing that when you don't feel good. And, I am sure Daisy will love to cuddle with him, too!
