Wow! It has been 14 days since my last post. Let's catch up! I have gone couponing crazy, as you may already know, in order to see if I can save money on items we already buy, like dog food or cereal. I have had great success shopping at Wally World. I am also learning to use Walgreens and CVS to my advantage. However, my short trip to Kroger yesterday was not as successful. Kroger had a good deal on Earth's Best Cheesey Raviolis, a savings of 1/2 price. The sale price was not given at the register and I did not notice until returning home. Kroger did not have my Dino Bites instock; they are on sale for 10 for $10. I had three coupons and would have waked away with three bags of free dino bite nuggets. on top of that I was naughty...I am a sucker for Promise Land milk when it is on sale. Strawberry was on sale and of course I had to buy it since Jacob LOVES strawberry. We did pick up a good buy on butter and organic strawberries(priced the same as the regular ones). All in all, couponing can work for you, especially when you can use store pricing and coupons to obtain free products that can benefit your family or another family. Check out this blog or this blog following blogs, look for posts within the last month, and find cereal and baby bath product coupons that make it free or next to free! Well, I have also been busy becasue JACOB STARTED WALKING!!!! He took his first steps April 24 and stopped until Friday May 7th. He just took off, delighted to walk in the beautiful sunlight. And, I witnessed it! It was simply beautiful!!! Last night he began running!
And, Jacob's vocabulary has been bursting, too. Jacob can now say..
Mama
Dada
No
Bye Bye
Hi (his first word at 4.5 months)
Nana (banana)
Baba (strawberry)
Light bulb
Foot
Zoom (airplane)
Yum Yum
We also celebrated a wonderful Mother's Day. Jacob sent me an Edible Arrangement that was simply beautiful! My EA bouquet card said " Happy Mother's Day Ma-Ma! I hope you share your strawberries with me! Loving you sweetly, Jacob." So sweet!!!!
I had hinted to Justin that I wanted something from EA, and was thinking 1/2 dozen dipped strawberries or bananas. To my surprise it was bigger and more grand than I would have chosen for my self. We spent most of Saturday and Sunday enjoying the fruit and chocolate covered strawberries. I highly recommend an Edible Arrangement for baby showers, parties at work, gifts for a friend or family, or for your sweetie!
