Seven Days Ago

Jacob and I were suppose to leave for Boston last Thursday morning. It didn't happen. I had been completely exhausted for a week, and it wasn't getting better. We called my cousin and Damaris last Wednesday to let them know that I was sick. And, I was. I have Mastitis for the 4th time since June 2007. This time it appeared differently than all the other times. This time I was not already ill from something else. I was just exhausted from all of life's events in the past month. Today has been my best day in almost 2 weeks. I began taking treatment yesterday for the infection. Boy is it helping!!!

So, we were going to Boston for Damaris' wedding. She had a very short engagement. Damaris and I met in 4th grade and have been friends since. She was also one of my Bridesmaids. I was also going to see my Cousin Brent and Nicole and their baby, Asher, who is 6 months younger than Jacob. It seems like the best decision, especially since Nicole ended up with a nasty cold and she needed rest. And, she had a final the day after the wedding. Nicole did go to Damaris' wedding (Nicole was my Matron of Honor and became friends with Damaris) and called me on my cell so I could say Hi to her and her dad. It was great! I am still waiting to hear how it all went...Nicole, you need to call or email me asap.

So, what else has happened in the past week? The Bentley Clan went to our first A&M Baseball game as a family. It was also Jacob's first ever baseball game. Boy did we have fun! ( And, boy was I tired!!!) Aggies won over TCU!

We also planted Red Tip Photinias in our backyard. Justin's friend Trey, an Aggie, came over to help. They line the back fence. Our hope is they will grow quickly to give us a visual break from the neighbor's backyard and dampen their dog barking at night. We also planted a row of boxwoods along two sides of the house. And, Justin planted a knock-out rose bush for me! Now, we need grass to grow in the bare middle of the yard.

I also put in my notice to end my daytime babysitting job. There are many reasons, and maybe I can go into them discreetly at a later time. I know this ending will help my family, and help Jacob.

That is it. What has your week been like? Please let me know!
