My need for better organization began after Jacob's second emergency call. Remember the post about Jacob getting on the table and then calling 911 on the telephone? A week later, to the day, Jacob set off our panic button to our home security system. Glad someone knew how to work it since Justin and I had NO clue. A very nice police officer came to the door to see if we needed anything. What a shock! I decided that if an incident like that happened again we would either be fined or taken away. So, I decided to clear out the house so that keys and phones had a specified place (which they already had a place to go except when used to pacify Jacob). I am nearly finished with my organization. I need to hit Jacob's closet and the garage next. Before my sale, I'll post some notable items in case you are looking for a bargain.
*****Major News*****
A MAJOR event is coming to our little home. I am turning 30 on Thursday! That is right. September 25 is my birthday, and is the birthday to 10 other people I have met in my life. And, one of those people, Sandy Martinez, will also be 30. I know this because we went to school together, but she is older than me by half a day. (I hope she has a wonderful day!) That is the MAJOR news. I will be thirty, 30, three-zero. My neighbor said I look 25. Another neighbor said Justin looks way older than I do; I am older than Justin. I contribute my young looks to eating tons of olives, lemons, chocolate, cheese and salsa. I also act super silly, even at this age, at home and entertain anyone watching with my cheer leading jumps and cartwheels; I was never picked as cheerleader, but I definitely have the 'spirit" for it.
I am excited about my birthday. I hope Justin makes me a cake since I have not had a birthday cake in two years; my Mom bought a cake and we had a party together since Justin was out of town for his new job and I had morning sickness. Yummy cake!
It is always a blessing to have another breath in this world. So many of my childhood friends have already passed away and will never know what it means to turn 25 or 30 or 50. So let's celebrate! My wonderful friend Melissa M. has sent out an evite for my party on Saturday. It's a girly party, and we will have Tex Mex at Joe T's. So if you are interested in attending, just email me or leave a comment if you did not get an evite! Yeah!
