Sorry for the blurry picture...still using my cell camera.
Jacob has learned to open the drawers and climb on in! He helps Mommy mix things. Using the drawer helps Jacob reach things on the counter like freshly washed blueberries. Yummy!
My skinny little guy has grown tall and put on weight this past month. His 18 month check up placed him at 10% for his weight. I think his percent went up over a matter of days. His vocabulary is increasing. His news words are Cool, Bye Bye, What's That, Touch Down, Bang (pretending to shoot birds), and Go Go Go. He is great with his sign language, and yesterday, he threw away broccoli that fell on the floor. What a great helper! Way to go Jacob!
Please pray for Justin as he may possibly transition into a new job at work. It would be a lateral move, but would give him more company exposure and ability to travel more. Justin is also preparing for his GMAT and then will look at MBA programs.
Me? What about me? Well, I am 17 weeks pregnant. I went jogging two days ago, and hope to go out again today. The cold front hit yesterday. I run a block then walk a block since I haven't ran since September. Morning sickness is remarkably improved with some ill feeling occasionally. Other than that, I still have anxiety over adding this new little one to the family. But, I read that is normal. We go for the sonogram on December 23. And, I hope Justin comes too. He was out of town on business when I found out Jacob was a boy. Last night, Justin said I looked big. I think this baby is just sprawled out differently than Jacob. Sweet Pea seems to point out, away from my body. Until then, I am excited to meet up with old friends who live in DFW. And, I enjoy getting to know my neighbors more. Jacob and I are also going to a Christmas party for Mom and Little Ones on Sunday. How fun! And, no, we have not painted the living room and kitchen/dining area. However, Justin so lovingly put up a cord cover for the chandelier. It looks beautiful now. Did you know those things have a gazillion button to snap? I'll have to snap a shot to show you soon. I can just see how beautiful it will look once we paint.
Please pray for my friend Kristin. Her husband is in Iraq and she just packed up their home in Fort Worth. She and the kids are moving to the base for his return in a month or so. They will then move 6 months after his return to a base in New York, where he will be deployed again. Her family lives in FW. When I saw her on Friday, she had no idea where they would live. Let's pray she finds a rental home or a home opens on base this week. And, let's pray she has help to move her belongings from the moving truck into their temporary home. We will miss her and the kids. I never tell this to her, but I always think she is amazing - her story is really incredible. Maybe she will share it with us someday.

CONGRATULATIONS on your new baby! Good luck on that big appointment; I hope she/he cooperates and lets you know the gender.
And, I'm so glad to hear your little boy is growing so well. We had our 18 month check up this week and my daughter is NOT gaining. I guess its time to add more butter to my cooking. :(
